Gaúcha Tecpar acquired TVN/Multitel.

TVN/Multitel (Multitel Comunicações), from Canoas (RS), is ten years old and has about 8,000 TV, broadband and telephony customers in six municipalities in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre; the buyer acquires the Rio Grande do Sul operation, not Maranhão.

Gaúcha TecPar is a telecom holding company founded in 2016, the parent company of Ávato and the GPSNet and Amigo brands, with a target of R$1 billion in market value by 2022.

This acquisition aims to consolidate providers in Greater Porto Alegre, with the simultaneous purchase of Canoas Net; the two operations will be unified under the Amigo brand.
