Does K12 measure the quality of a school?

No. The dashboard organises market indicators and results calculated from Enem microdata. This data does not replace a pedagogical assessment.

Why might a school have no Enem result?

Because the school may not offer Secondary education in the year analysed, may not have been identified in the microdata, or may not reach the minimum of ten participants with complete results required by the tool.

What is the difference between Operation and Benchmark?

Operation is the set defined by the main filters. Benchmark is the independent universe chosen for comparison. The period is always the same for both.

Does the data represent unique students?

The dashboard works mainly with enrolments declared in the School Census. Depending on the indicator and the structure of the source, an enrolment must not automatically be read as a unique person.

Methodology

The school is identified by its INEP code; the displayed name corresponds to the most recent spelling available for that code.
Municipal relationships use the official IBGE code, not only the locality name.
Category and group follow a documented cascade of sources, rules and approved human decisions.
K12 enrolment covers Early Childhood, Primary I, Primary II and Secondary education. Enrolments must not automatically be read as unique people.
Enrolment variations shown in period analyses use CAGR whenever there is a valid first and last year.
Operation is the set defined by the main filters; Benchmark is the universe defined by the independent comparison filters. Both use the same time horizon.
Enem results are calculated by the tool from INEP microdata and do not constitute an official school score published by the Institute.
JK Capital's contribution lies in organising, classifying, relating and reading the data, not in exclusive access to the public sources.

Limits of interpretation

The School Census is self-declared and represents an annual snapshot; changes after the reference date may not appear.
The absence of a school in a given year does not, on its own, prove insolvency; it may reflect closure, merger, a code change or a reorganisation of the operation.
Group and category depend on the available sources and registry decisions and should be reviewed after acquisitions, disposals or reorganisations.
Enem results are disclosed only when the school is identifiable and there are at least ten complete participants; the absence of a result does not mean zero performance.
Share capital, registered company size or enrolment must not be treated as revenue, valuation or financial capacity.
The dashboard is a market intelligence tool. It is not a ranking of teaching quality, an investment recommendation, or legal, accounting or tax advice.
