About the deal
About Unilab
Unilab is a clinical and laboratory testing network operating in Atibaia, Bragança Paulista, Itatiba, Jarinu, Bom Jesus dos Perdões, Aparecida, Pindamonhangaba and Piracaia, in the State of São Paulo, and in Extrema, Minas Gerais. The network owns the Unilab and Quantum brands.
Gross operating revenue for the 12 months ended May 2026 reached R$ 65 million, with no concentration in any single accredited health plan operator.
About Grupo Fleury
Grupo Fleury (FLRY3) operates around 60 brands across 600 units in Brazil and processes 368 million tests per year. The Fleury brand, founded a hundred years ago, leads the premium diagnostic medicine market.
Since 2017, the group has completed 23 acquisitions, totaling R$ 2.5 billion.
Transaction rationale
This is Fleury's third acquisition in the region, following Confiance in Campinas and São Lucas in Rio Claro. Together, the three deals represent investments of about R$ 220 million.
In the region, the weighted average share of the population with health insurance is 39%, above the national average of 25%. According to Grupo Fleury CEO Jeane Tsutsui, synergies will come from cost reductions.
Transaction value
R$ 55 million.
